Below find our programme of events for 2020. Note that we've got quite a few dates to be confirmed, and there may be more added as we've a few projects in the pipeline - keep checking back here for latest details.
All practical events (other than training weekends - see under Training courses on the left) are free of charge to all members of the Dry Stone Walling Association, with non-members very welcome to come along to watch. All projects are open to novice, amateur and professional wallers - the emphasis is on fun whilst learning or practising dyking skills. Events usually kick off about 10:00 and finish at 16:00. At most venues facilities are limited so a packed lunch is a good idea, plus water (if it's a warm day) and/or warm clothing (if it isn't). Safety wear is also advised (tough gardening/working gloves and steel toe-capped boots, or at least stout walking/working boots, plus safety glasses if/when using hammers).
For further details of the organisation in general see http://www.dswa.org.uk; if you are interested in getting involved in any of the events below, please either use our contact form (under Get in touch on the left) or refer to our branch details at http://www.dswa.org.uk/south-east-scotland.asp.
